StreetCar Showdown There are three StreetCar Showdown classes being run in 2016 reserved for legal street and highway use appearing vehicles. These classes are run in heads-up all-out fashion on an 1/8th mile format and run off of an "Instant Green" start. StreetCar Showdown is an unlimited performance Heads-Up drag race format. There are four three StreetCar Showdown Heads-Up classes; Pro BantamWeight, Pro WelterWeight, Pro HeavyWeight, and Pro OutLaw. Race Format and Rules: Start System: "Instant Green" start. Courtesy Staging: Not Enforced. Deep Staging: Permitted Qualifying: "BlackOut" style - No times displayed on scoreboards Two rounds of qualifying are run to establish qualifying order for the purpose of awarding qualifying points and building the first round ladder. Racers will see qualifying times on the ladder. Lane Choice: Goes to the competitor having the better qualifying position Bye Runs & Competition Singles: Competitors may waive their bye run or competition single. In such cases racers only need be present with their vehicle ready to run in the staging lanes during the running of their class with no work being performed on the vehicle.
StreetCar Showdown Class Rules
Pro BantamWeight Pro/B Vehicles: All vehicles shall be of a production make and model available to the general public. Minimum Weight: 2750 w/driver Street Requirements: Vehicles must retain full street requirement functions such as working headlights, tail lights, and both driver's side and passenger side functioning doors. Vehicles will not be mandated to have current state DMV registration. Body: All
vehicles shall be full bodied and have functioning doors. Interior: Must maintain stock appearing dash and door panels. Chassis: Vehicle should retain stock firewall and a minimum of 50
percent of factory stock frame. This is not going to be a heavily policed area of concern as it is only intended to insure that fully fabricated �tube chassis� cars shall not populate the class through unforeseen loopholes. Vehicles determined to be utilizing a �tube chassis� by DRAGCAR must run in Pro OutLaw. Engine: Unlimited Exhaust: Any primary exhaust system permitted. Mufflers required on non-turbocharged vehicles. Tires: All vehicles are limited to the following drive tires; 8.5� x 26� Slicks 235/60/R15 Drag Radials 245/55/R15 Drag Radials Smaller tire sizes are permitted.
Pro WelterWeight Pro/W Vehicles: All vehicles shall be of a production make and model available to the general public. Minimum Weight: 2750 w/driver Street Requirements: Vehicles must retain full street requirement functions such as working headlights, tail lights, and both driver's side and passenger side functioning doors. Drag Radials D.O.T. Bias Tires having a measured tread width of no
greater than 11.5� EXCEPTION: V-6 powered vehicle will not be limited to these tire restrictions for 2016.

Body: Vehicles shall be bodied with functioning doors.Bodies must remain full and complete, including but not limited to front and rear bumpers, fenders, hood, grille, roof, etc. Fiberglass and/or carbon fiber body components permitted so long as they duplicate the components being replaced. Hood and cowl induction scoops permitted. Interior: Must maintain stock appearing dash and door panels. Chassis: Unlimited Engine: Unlimited Exhaust: Any primary exhaust system permitted.Mufflers required on non-turbocharged vehicles.
