Nostalgia Pro Stock (PRO-1)

Nostalgia Pro Stock  is reserved for naturally aspirated factory production American body styles
originally produced from 1966 through 1975.
The concept of Nostalgia Pro Stock is to closely replicate the original Super-Super Stock/Pro Stock classes of the 1969-1972 seasons, the allowable body style production period was expanded to allow racers wishing to build cars and compete in this class a bit more freedom in choosing a body.
Nitrous oxide, superchargers, and/or turbochargers are prohibited in
Pro-1

Nostalgia Pro Stock Class Weights and Factor Chart

(Actual Cubic Inch x .75) + 150 x Intake Valve Diameter x Gross Valve Lift = Engine Performance Factor

Example: An engine of 434 c.i. with a 2.085" intake valve and .686" lift equates as;
434 x .75 = 325.50
325.50 + 150 x 2.085 x .686 = 680.11
Round this number to 680

An Engine Performance Factor of 680 falls under F-11 and would have a minimum weight of 3000 pounds.

Pro-1 is technically formulated around a 10.20 base index.
Actual performances will likely be in the mid to high 9 second range depending on hosting altitudes.

Body:

Nostalgia Pro Stock vehicles must retain stock full body exterior appearance.

Extreme modifications which may drastically alter the appearance such as altered wheelbase, chopping, drooping, rescaling, etc. are not permissible.

All body components such as roof, hood, doors, fenders, bumpers, etc. must remain in place.

Door handles, head lights, grille, etc. must remain as stock. Shaved door handles, simulated paint or decal headlights and or grille components are not permitted.

Hood scoops permitted.

Stock appearing fiberglass and/or aluminum body components permitted.

Doors must be functional.

Chassis:

Chassis must remain relatively stock for the body being used, incorporating the stock flooring from the firewall to the rear door pillar.

Narrowed sub-frames or frame portions and sub-frame connecting permitted

Full length 2"x3" rectangular tube frames may be constructed to replace weaker stock sub-frames provided stock front suspension and flooring are utilized. This provision is primarily made in the interest of safety with regards to compact size cars such as Pinto Vega, etc.

Suspension:

Non-driving axle suspension systems must remain stock for the body being used.

Example: Straight axles or struts may not replace control arm suspensions, etc.

Air bags may not be used to replace coil springs, leaf springs, or torsion bars.

Engine:

Engine must be of the same corporate manufacturer as that of the vehicle.

GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Cadillac bodied vehicles are permitted to interchange engines within those same listed manufacturers.

Minimum gross intake valve lift must be equal to no less than 31 percent of the intake valve diameter.

Example: If intake valve diameter is 2.02" then multiply 2.02 by .31 and round to the nearest thousandth to find minimum acceptable gross valve lift of .626" or

2.02 x .31 = .626

Engines having valve/lift combinations where the gross intake lift does not meet the minimum specification will not be disallowed from competition. In these instances vehicles will be factored using the minimum valve lift specification for the intake valve diameter being utilized.

Example: If running a 2.02" intake valve with less than .626" gross lift, .626 will be used in the Engine Performance factoring formula to assign the appropriate minimum weight to the vehicle.

Transmission:

Initiating motion must be clutch operated but may be clutch-less shifted.

Fuel:

Gasoline

Interior:

Must have a minimum of one bench seat or two front bucket seats.

Floors must be carpeted. (Vehicles having rear seats removed must be carpeted in this area.)

Must be fully upholstered.

Full dash complete and intact. (Molded replicas in fiberglass or plastic for example are permitted.)

Tires:

Maximum measured tread width permitted is 14.5 inches.

Tire tread is not allowed to protrude outward past the outermost portion of the wheel-well opening

Electronics:

Delay boxes are prohibited.

Classic Pro Stock (PRO-2)

Classic Pro Stock  is reserved for naturally aspirated factory production American body styles
originally produced from 1970 through 1984.
The concept of Classic Pro Stock is to closely replicate the popular Pro Stock classes of the mid '70's to early '80's seasons. The allowable body style production period was expanded to allow racers wishing to build cars and compete in this class a bit more freedom in choosing a body.
Nitrous oxide, superchargers, and/or turbochargers are prohibited in
Pro-2

An Engine Performance Factor of 680 falls under F-13 and would have a minimum weight of 2100 pounds.

Pro-2 is technically formulated around a 9.00 base index.
Actual performances will likely be in the low to mid 8 second range depending on hosting altitudes.
