Pro DragCar (Pro/DC)

Pro DragCar is reserved for all naturally aspirated full bodied factory production body styles.
Nitrous oxide, superchargers, and/or turbochargers are prohibited in
Pro/DC.

Pro DragCar Class Weights and Factor Chart

(Actual Cubic Inch x .75) + 150 x Intake Valve Diameter x Gross Valve Lift = Engine Performance Factor

Example: An engine of 383 c.i. with a 2.055" intake valve and .668" lift equates as;
383 x .75 = 287.25
287.25 + 150 x 2.055 x .668 = 600.23
Round this number to 600

An Engine Performance Factor of 600 falls under F-4 and would have a minimum weight of 3400 pounds.

Pro/DC is technically formulated around a 11.00 base index.
Actual performances will likely be in the mid to high 10 second range depending on hosting altitudes.

Body:

Pro DragCar vehicles must retain full body exterior appearance.

All body components such as roof, hood, doors, fenders, bumpers, etc. must remain in place.

Fiberglass and/or aluminum body components permitted.

Doors must remain functional.

Chassis:

Must currently meet hosting facility's safety guidelines.

Suspension:

Air bags may not be used to replace coil springs, leaf springs, or torsion bars.

Engine:

Any make engine permitted.

Minimum gross intake valve lift must be equal to no less than 31 percent of the intake valve diameter.

Example: If intake valve diameter is 2.02" then multiply 2.02 by .31 and round to the nearest thousandth to find minimum acceptable gross valve lift of .626" or

2.02 x .31 = .626

Engines having valve/lift combinations where the gross intake lift does not meet the minimum specification will not be disallowed from competition. In these instances vehicles will be factored using the minimum valve lift specification for the intake valve diameter being utilized.

Example: If running a 2.02" intake valve with less than .626" gross lift, .626 will be used in the Engine Performance factoring formula to assign the appropriate minimum weight to the vehicle.

Tires:

Tire tread is not allowed to protrude outward past the outermost portion of the wheel-well opening

Electronics:

Delay boxes are prohibited.
