This is the only documented vehicle to run in American DRAGCAR to date thereby also being officially the quickest car in DRAGCAR with it's .503 under index performance.
     The engine is a stock block 351W with a stock crank and rods pushing 40 year old TRW 302 Chevy pistons under a box set of AFR 165 aluminum heads.  The cam is a 608" lift Isky solid flat tappet grind with an @ .050" duration of 273 degrees.  The intake manifold is a hand built tunnel ram with an 800 Holley mounted atop while the headers are a set of 1-5/8" Hooker Super Competition.  The transmission is a cast iron case FMX with a 5000 stall TCI/Roadrunner converter and the car is launched off of the footbrake.
     This engine was built by Jeff Sefranek with machine work performed at John Scott's Engine Service, Standard Machine, D&J Machine, and Zimmerman Racing Engines while the transmission was built by Harold's Transmissions and modified by Jeff Sefranek.  The rear gears are also set up by the Sefranek's as well as the chassis tuning.  Front end modifications, rear sub-frame, four link, and roll cage are all SPS Race Cars  works by Steve Pearce and Jerry Sefranek with some engineering influence by Dean Haven.
     This car illustrates well how a budgeted racer can compete strongly in American DRAGCAR's class racing structure.
